kind of like star trek, but the federation is made up only of humans that dont drink, dont smoke and love utah. sounds like a cake walk for the klingons<G>.
oh the baptists...dont get me started. most of them considered us (methodists) pitiable...one step removed from pagans<G>. actually, they were even able to get rid of school dances when we were in jr. high, so we just moved the dances over to our church, sponsored by UMYF<G>. that really pissed off most of the FBC.
forget horse racing...i grew up in a DRY city. compared to that, no horse racing is easy to deal with<G>. and dont get me started on the ban MTV movement when i was in high school. it is my firm belief that there is a special place in hell reserved for the SBC leadership<G>.
oh, i didnt mean to indicate that mormons were more self righteous than others. my problem is with the self righteous in general<G>. as with any religion, there are dissenters...my grandfather is baptist, but he thinks much the same way i do. he is not a big beleiver in proving your faith to the congregation, which to me is in direct contrast to most baptists<G>. my feeling on it is this...if you are going to be a word of god literalist, then you might want to consider islam. at least the koran was written to be used literally<G>.
