God has the power to show the truth, with or without a person being educated. I know many who are literally blown over coming to faith in Christ! God has the power to do anything! God is great! Praise God!
The Qur'an's answer to this statement:
5.48 To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a Law and an Open Way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute;
The point? In Islam we believe that education in absolute terms is and is not relevant to finding the truth. It certainly can tremendously aid a person but it is not required to determine the truth. What is required is what God has given you, as this verse says.
So what do you think it's referring to??
The answer? Your mind. God has given you the ability to discern the truth from falsehood. And He will test you on whether you'll use what He has given you or you'll rely on your own desires.
Well, its God that shows you the truth. It's him, not you!
There's no difference in faith. We believe the same:
From Surah 1, the chapter repeated in every single prayer:
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. Show us the straight path, The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.
You see, Only God can show us the truth. But, we have to seek that truth. So we pray to God that he shows us the straight path. This verse below shows that God will not guide those that are "false and ungrateful."
39.3 Is it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than Allah (say): "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah." Truly Allah will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But Allah guides not such as are false and ungrateful.
My personal belief though, you should reach out a little if you have the capability, so he will reach out to you.
Amazingly, you've almost quoted a hadith:
If you take 1 step towards God, He takes two steps towards you. If you walk towards God, He runs towards you.
