So with your supposition, the only way to learn the true meaning of the Qu'ran is to learn the language and dialect is was written in. Otherwise we could not be assured of getting the true meaning. Is that what your telling me here?

Not true meaning. But reaidng the Qur'an in Arabic is the only way to get over the barriers of translating through languages. You can read the Qur'an in different languages but you must understand it's only an approximation of the meaning. To read the Qur'an in Arabic also shows the superior prose and poetry of it. No man has ever written as beautifully as the Qur'an.

I disagree with you that these differences we noted in the Qu'ran are referring to the same thing. One speaks of speaking false truth and the others of having bad desires.

Easy there. Don't change what it said. The other verse said of Prophet's desires. Their desires were to speak God's truth. it never said anything about "bad desires."

Peace be unto you,
Norris
