I tend to agree with you and your reasoning. I might point out that Indians by and large by inclination a democratic people. People are eating better than before. India is actually exporting food to other nations. As long as religious riots don't happen, there is no break up of the nation.

Also Punjab and Assam are getting back into the fold. It is just a question of time that Kasmiris will consider India, a secular state, as their nation. What the Kashmiris need is food, shelter, education, peace, work, and a great tourist industry. India will make sure they will have them. When a nation or a state has all these needs satisfied, there won't be any break-away tendencies.
