Or are they just sitting there with their finger up their arses and come October 14th they will be blown away by Apple figures once again? I would find this really troubling. If a bunch of semi-pro's (albeit an extraordinarily talented bunch of semi-pro's) on this thread can put together relatively accurate pictures of upcoming earnings, what does that say about those analysts following Apple who have been consistently surprised the last couple quarters? Their inability (or unwillingness?) to follow the story behind this stock only creates volatility. There are some here who feed on this volatility and become quite gorged doing it, but I'm not at all convinced that it is good for the stock long term. I don't know what's going on, but I can dig Apple at $40. Marq
