Doug, Maybe you know about bridge flexs? These are the connection that goes from a TSA or CIS into the drive. It seems to be an interim product, but til now most TSA's have been shipping without a tail.

A bridge flex is a low 30 to high 20 cent part. Seems like they could have shipped a couple million of them. It's probably an interim product as more TSA's are designed with tails, but there are cost trade offs.

Doug Keller told me that they have made some progress in chip packaging. They have qualified a design with one big house and have another near. I asked when they would announce and he said it was a matter of customer approval, and seeing significant revenue value. I suggested just an announcement to show the business was progressing might serve us all.

They are hoping to see 5 to 10% of revenues from chip packaging next year. That would probably be in the latter part of the year with more growth going into 2000. Industry projections for 98 are only 116 million.

I asked about the law suit settled with Hutchinson and AKI. It mentioned Innovex, but has no money involved for Innovex.

Asked about earnings. They announced they could have similar earnings to June, but now looks like it may come in shorter. :(

A timely announcement that they have a new FOS customer would help make $15, but with out it I think there won't be much reason for the stock to go up from here.

Regards,

Mark
