Hi Alex,

I read an article in this week's Entertainment Weekly where they commented that at its peak, Star Trek, Next Gen, brought in 15 million viewers a week. Deep Space Nine and Voyager are weaker franchises...bringing in 5 million or so a piece (probably the same population). The buzz about Insurrection (the movie) is mixed...but this is still early...plot is something about protecting the fountain of youth. Article questioned whether or not the Star Trek universe has seen its best days...I personally think that DS9 and Voyager are pitiful...I could care less about any of the characters on those shows. But Next Gen was pure creative genius. IMO, the creators of the series have oversaturated the market with ST offerings. Microprose has done the same. Too confusing. But anyway, Star Trek has a devoted following, for sure.

We have Star Wars, Disney and Star Trek. Amazing brand name titles.
Microprose/Hasbro have been dealt a severe blow.

Sorry to hear about IPLY. Seems like the market in general, especially today, is sort of in a holding pattern...waiting to see what develops. If interest rates are lowered tomorrow, I think that will trigger another leg in this rally, with larger caps leading the way.
I still think this market needs to go down once more...to really scare out weak hands...

Take care!

Tom
