Henry, Exactly the same thing happened to me. I'd been managing options and futures portfolios, and even had a short stint managing two convertible funds, for years when I suddenly found out I was the resident derivatives expert at my mutual fund firm. <G> I thought they were something you put into cheap dogfood, which shows what an expert I was.
