<<By some miraculous fluke of bureaucracy, the tickets were cleanly and completely separated from me and my DMV record almost immediately.>>

Are you a Nun or somebody Holy? We took a stray dog in for a rabies shot and where almost tossed in jail for not paying the $8 registration as owners. This was at the same time a guy stole a shotgun and $150 from me but they were too busy to look into it.

<<When I called the insurance company to notify them of my stolen car's probable location, about 40 miles from my home, my thinking was along the lines that someone might want to drive over and check it out, as the insurance company had a claims office less than a mile away and now owned the car.>>

Yeah, and the unarmed claims guy decides to be Dirty Harry and gets killed. Widow sues for $100 million and in California???? What gets me is why don't the insurance companies work closer with the police??
