bob, your post is interesting but think about this way - with limited $ would you advertise in tech journals etc. - of course NOT this shot gun approach is very costly even assuming you choose the right tech journals - but you might choose to spend your limited $ this way: (1) comdex (2) embedded systems conference (3) electronica show in munich mid-october - this show if remember right is held every 2 years (4) develop relationships with co's such as forth inc.genrocco and wind river and use their marketing and sales clout - sure we need more - this is where a great deal PTSC's efforts are going (5) set-up global representative/marketing relationships such as thames and ineltek ---- IMO direct marketing will spend the limited $ much more wisely - now find a $$ rich strategic partner then all forms of marketing can be used but not now - G
