Alex, With reference to antibiotics, I wonder how much of the drug remains in the meat and poultry we eat. If there are even trace antibiotics in the food we eat, could this contribute to the continuously evolving resistance of organisms to antibiotics. Also, what about allergic reactions in people who are allergic to some antibiotics? Just food for thought. I don't really know anything for sure about this. Really, I don't. But I'd sure like to. Yup, I am a vegetarian, but not for health reasons, and I'm not evangelical about vegetarianism (oops, not another ism!). Thanks for your thoughtful post, BTW. Holly
