Hello Yaacov. Off topic. Off topic.

I wanted to reply earlier but had problems with the net this afternoon. But you will be up soon to read it.

I am glad that your tone about this election is a bit better now. I listened some more to that German Broadcast(my wife translated most of it gg) and it did not sound that bad. BTW, I was correct with that 5% vote for the Communist party unless you consider 5.1% being wrong. gg.

I gathered from that Broadcast that the newly elected Party has not made up their mind yet totally. The "Greens" seem to be the front runners and may have been named in the meantime for the coalition. The way I heard it there was still some talk with the current Party in power.

Markets in Germany don't see a change in sentiment at this time. But Industry leaders are a bit worried and are already calling on the newly elected Chancellor not to raise taxes on business and not to repeal some of the benefit cutbacks to workers. Like those long sickness leaves.

I am not so sure if the ties will be that much closer with Russia. Actually, the report was that Russia hated to see their close friend Kohl lose. It was said that Russia holds its friends close to their hearts. gg. Neither Yeltsin nor Primakov? supposedly congratulated the newly elected Chancellor yet. I think the Foreign Minister did. But Russia feels that they will still have close ties.

France already invited Schroeder to France and Britain sent or phoned their well wishes. I hear that Mr. Clinton was already on the phone also. Hm.
Well, maybe all in all things will work out ok. Time will tell. Unions already put in their 2 cents also.

My wife read your post and mused about you watching "The Count of Monte Christo". She says it used to be one of her fav. movies.

Darn, there is always something you miss. No. I did not know about the Swiss tel.co. going public. I may put an order in at this low price. Just kidding.

Sonny
