How about CDRD? The company actually announced additional financing last week, and they are starting to deploy some repeater stations in San Francisco for testing purposes. (The satellite signals won't be received well in urban areas, so they have to add repeater stations -- kind of defeats the purpose of distributing the signal by satellite, doesn't it?)
However, CDRD is sometimes mentioned by brokers as the best company in the known universe, which will be going to $1,000 a share eventually, etc. Often this hype is ignored, but every once in a while the hype is coordinated with manipulation, and the stock doubles. It could happen again, but eventually I suspect this concept won't work out.
There are too many technical concerns, such as the suggestion that at the frequencies and power levels the system will operate at, the signal will be degraded by rain, leaves, or driving over 30 mph. |
