Scott - American Express stated "...that their announcement has nothing to do with the Citicorp's offer and their previous statement regarding Citicorp remains in place that they have discontinued their talks with Citicorp". Also American Express has asked for the analyst's phone numbers (or where they could be reached) over Christmas as they will be making a "Major Announcement". I sure hope it has something to do with Novell. We will know in 24 hours. It certainly seems plausible but we may be reaching a bit here. Maybe Berry can shed some light on this? EKS
