CD looks like its been having "higher highs and higher lows" to quote a popular thread sponsor. Do these bother you? It does have the stoch(14) sitting ready to fire though.

The upward trendline since 9/9 is still intact, if CD opens at 13 3/8 or lower tomorrow it'd break the trend line and I'd short it.

Same story for GTW.

GTW's higher highs have lower highs on the Stoch(5) and TSV. I'd short on any lower open tomorrow.

Poor old SRCM is having a rough time.. At $8+ it has really taken a beating.. How much blood do you think it still has? How low in price will you go in trading?

I've been shorting SRCM on and off since $22. I'll short down to $5, which is the point I lose margin leverage at Datek. Many of the heavy hitter shorts are saying it's a 'short to zero'.

Same for RAIN (low price).

I don't know anything about RAIN, chart shows support at 6 so there's only about 3/4 point good potential there.

GERN has avg vol of 100700. How low will you let the avg vol get and still trade?

Right around 100,000. I won't touch low volume if the chart looks 'choppy'.

I notice that you've been on several of the broker threads but haven't read any of the posts there. Whom do you use (If you don't mind my asking)?

Most of my trading money is at Datek. Some at E*trade. between those two, I've been able to get shares of most anything for shorting.
Both have their problems, but most of what I read says they're far from the worst of the discounters.

I also opened an account at MBTrading this month to try real daytrading. Using their system I can catch a few day-trades on stocks I'm watching, where even Datek wouldn't be fast enough. But I don't have the temperment to be a 1/4 point scalper.

Is shorting a problem these days?

Only because the small-cap junk I like to short has been rebounding during September.
