Brooks, a little more info from CheckFree on why NZ?

The New Zealand banking and consumer markets are very similar to the US model, making a transfer of both CheckFree's business model, processes and systems relatively easy. In fact, New Zealand is a far more homogenous market that the US and the number of EFT payments per capita over there is far greater than in the US (e.g., there are more POS terminals per capita in NZ than anywhere else in the world). Both NZ Post and CheckFree expect a much higher penetration of the consumer market in a shorter period of time than can be expected in the US since the NZ market is not as segmented.
