I think Templeton is implying once you've studied the company and find it is unfairly punished, you buy when others are scared. But the contention here is that these companies offering enough value to take the risk.

One of the goals of buying where the fear is greatest is a great reward for being right half the time. One needs to have some investments go up 3 or 400% to pay for the losses. I have doubt any of these companies can easily double.

In fact, going back to buying great stocks. You have to wonder what company in this group offers better than 100% return in the coming year? Certainly the major vendors are hamstrung at the moment. Maybe components? Maybe equipment suppliers?

Did anybody figure out why Quantum dropped yesterday?

Do interest rate cuts have any value for HDD companies?

Mark
