Scott-- I sold EAGL too soon at 14, but it had doubled and that was my price target. The perils of bottom-fishing include selling too soon, I guess. I like the stores just fine from a consumer's point of view. From an investor's perspective, I like Home Depot equally well... and there's one across the street from every Eagle Hardware store. This ain't exactly an accident. Home Depot must fear EAGL greatly to employ such tactics. One other comment regarding EAGL is that I've followed the career of their CEO (Harnishperger, or some approximation of this) for years. He was the driving force behind the now defunct Pay 'N Pak hardware chain, then ousted when the company reached a degree of success. It was AFTER his departure that the company ran into fiscal problems. Regards, PAul
