KIMBERLITE DISCOVERY AT THE JERICHO PROJECT

NEW INDIGO RESOURCES INC.
(ASE: NDR)

TORONTO, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - Further to our news release on September 14,
1998 announcing a Fall exploration drill program, New Indigo Resources Inc.
(''New Indigo'') and joint venture partner Lytton Minerals Limited
(''Lytton'') are pleased to announce the discovery of a new kimberlite within
the Greater Jericho area. The Jericho Project, located in the north-central
region of the Slave Structural Province of the Northwest Territories,
approximately 400 km NNE of Yellowknife, is owned equally by New Indigo and
Lytton.
The new land based kimberlite, called Contwoyto - 1, is located in the
Greater Jericho area approximately 30 km east of the original Jericho pipes,
and 20 km north of the Lupin gold mine. The discovery hole, drilled at a 45
degree angle, encountered kimberlite at 54.5 meters and was still in
kimberlite at 146 meters as of 7:00 AM this morning.
Approximately 180 kilograms of kimberlite float has recently been
collected near the head of a kimberlite indicator mineral train in the
immediate vicinity of the Contwoyto - 1 discovery. Preliminary caustic fusion
analysis of the float indicates that it is diamondiferous. However, it is too
early to determine if the float emanates from the Contwoyto - 1 kimberlite.
Caustic fusion analysis on the discovery hole core will be carried out to
determine if the new kimberlite is diamondiferous.
The exploration program will continue to test further targets within the
immediate area of the new discovery. The drill will then move to the central
Jericho region to test targets in close proximity to the existing Jericho
pipes.

Good Luck
