I took the report as very damaging to Divx. They grilled the CEO about the fact that :

It was a hard sale
that u had to rent the movies
that in test markets consumers tried Divx, but didn't come back
(that Divx players were sitting on shelves)

The only rebuttle given by the CEO was:

That u didn't have to take the movie back.
That the new RCA player would be out in a few days (it was only Zenith
That the Divx movies were cheaper to buy than DVD now. Divx for $4.29 and DVD was $15-35
The CEO tried his best to say that DVD was wonderful and had great quality but that Divx was "an add on" to the existing DVD player.(?)

I think it was very negative for Divx. CEO had to be very defensive.
His only point with substance was the cost of the movies "today".
