ibm has always maintained an active 2nd computer line in
out-of-u.s. markets, until now using cyrix chips-their ability
to do this in house ends at year end.

this out of u.s. line has been a big seller to date,
to continue this they will need to ramp internal production of another line, or go to more expensive outsized intel chips

lets spread more rumors

ps-their investor relations guy last week said that idti hasn't yet
received from ibm ANY chips good enuf to ship for sampling
