<<I just heard something somewhat humorous, though serious, on CNBC. This was on TALKING STOCK. One investor calls and tells that he feels acrophobic with DELL ( and DELL valuation ) and that he would like to sell DELL and buy CPQ. Mr.Ed Nisha (?sp ) said in effect that DELL is executing well, that CPQ is reinventing itself and that switch from DELL to CPQ is unwise.>>
Yeah, I heared that caller too. What a moron. At first I thought it was a crank call, however, he sounded serious towards the end. Acrophobic with Dell and wanted to switch to CPQ. Yeah, OK. If the analyst was wise, he should of told him to do what makes him comfy. :-)
Makes you wonder who screens the calls? The other day, in the afternoon segment, a female caller starts out by saying that she's new to all this investing stuff. Furthermore, she owns shares is CSCO and other companies that are priced in the same area. Here question was as follows: Why does CSCO keep splitting while her other companies remain stable and not split as much, espeically when you consider that they are priced the same.
The lady was pissed that CSCO kept splitting. Ron Insona, had a smirk on his face along with his guest.
Had to be there.
