Steven -- Was he really? The fact is, I guess, that what was important to me was who I was NOT voting for, rather than who I WAS voting for. My preferred third-party candidate would have been Ralph Nader, but he was not on the ballot.

P.S. What ticked me off the most about the Clinton crowd was the campaign -- smarmy, commercial, and etc. As a one-time Democratic Party activist, I got all sorts of garbage in my mailbox, including junk mail that purported to be "telegrams from the President of the United States -- to you, jbe!!!" My feeling was -- do they take me for an idiot? Do they really think I am stupid enough to believe that the President is sending me personal telegrams??? And the "engraved" invitations to the inauguration ceremonies! Nobody needed an invitation to go down to the Capitol Mall and watch...
