Bob,

Good to hear from you!

I think we'll see Quidel and many other biotech company stocks move up beginning next year.

Overall stocks did very well, but the biotech sector lagged in 96. I'll bet many investors are selling their losers this year to take advantage of capital losses. The Biotech's are the losers, so they'll be sold, causing downward prices for the sector till the end of this year.

Next year though, investors will sell their winners. They're becoming overpriced, but investors will wait till next year to sell, so they can delay their tax gains till 97.

Flush with cash from selling the winners, investors will look for the buys, and they're in the undervalued biotech sector. Biotechs will move up when the buying begins, and hopfully the sector will be next year's Wall Street darling.

I've been reading and hearing recently from various news sources about how undervalued the biotech sector is. I'm sure this news is catching the attention of investors looking for next year's buys.

Bob, you said, "Apparently, the sales for the quarter are going well since everyone is very busy." The news sounds good to me. Who and how was the comment made?

I expect Quidel will start moving up after the new year, and I'm looking forward to an earning surprise.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Mike
