Stitch, <<Damn...almost missed this. Come again????????>> Yah - Here we go again. The only thing that appears reasonably certain was that there has been some dialog between RDRT and some Japanese head companies. Nothing new so far this week. Since we're talking about rumors, let's see if I can't summarized this weeks list. Repeat - - - these are unconfirmed rumors!!! a) Merger discussions between HMT and Komag. b) Headway, APM and a third undisclosed company teaming up to do more damage to RDRT while their down. c) And then this one is the yummy one. The technology transfer arrangement between WDC and IBM is going poorly and some IBM folks want Haggerty's tush. Come to think of it, it has been too quiet lately at WD since Braun was "fired" although they have just hired an "outsider" to take over from Massengill who took over for Kathy. And to think, I was trying to avoid rumors..... Regards, LT
