BTW, In USN&W this week is an article on Japanese women that are choosing to remain unmarried and childless... apparently the soundbyte applied to this emerging class is "parasites on society". Of course an additional problem is that this is largely the educated class... the birth rate in japan is so low it spells economic trouble 20 years down the line. Still think family values is a good party platform? What happens if people actually start following those policies and none of the single women have children (my guess is the singles represent the highest educational level)... want to wind up like Japan?
