Actually I was bitching on more of a local level. Illinois uses real estate taxes to fund the schools. Wife and I have no children and pay $3,700 each year on our home and its going up. A family with four kids in school, living in a double wide mobile home of 1,800 sq. ft. pays $98 each year. Then those little urchins want us to pay for their band instruments, ball uniforms ......
