Insider Selling. I did an informal study of insider trading. I went back 6 mos and checked ten companies that had large volumes of insider trading. I compared the price at the time of the sale and with the current price. I was surprised to see that every single share price was higher. I did not check all of them and it was an informal random selection.

I think that insider selling is not a good indicator of company health. There are too many reasons tied to personal need that spur insider selling to use it as a guide. Insider buying is a much better indicator.
