Robert -

I am inferring from your comments that you believe that the CATP fall is unjustified. I would be real interested in any supporting analysis for that position. I have been watching the warning signs pile up in CATP for the last 10 months and the dramatic decline does not surprise me.

Anyway, the fact that they are insiders is all the more reason that they would have unloaded shares. A simple scan of the insider trading data (including SFE) shows a dramatic increase beginning in February and most of it prior to the stock price decline.

Anyway, since CATP represents a very large chunk of the NAV, I would expect that SFE must give up more ground if indeed they have not sold shares. I have always thought that the CATP holding represents far too much invested in one company.

Rick.

About the only rational justifications that I can see for holding pat on CATP are: 1) a truly long term perspective, or 2) knowledge that the company could be packaged and sold for a good premium without difficulty.

Anyway, I will take you up on the bet - chocolate chip or peanut butter ?
