Yes but "the time is near" was written almost 2000 years ago. Maybe it means to always be on guard till the end because you never know when the end is near. It would be no good if we knew when the end time is coming because we wouldnt be tested in the right way,because we would just decide to be good during that period of time. God wants us to follow his ways always not just during our fearful period,but during our happy ones too.
