The statement that the stock is going down because it is going down -- which is essentially what passes for "technical analysis" -- means less than, for instance, a Ouija board. And is easy to take than the statements of a Ouija board, which don't pretend to be scientific.

Right now the markets are acting in a way very different than they have for what -- the past 11 years? So unless your trend lines go back that far, they're meaningless. We're in new territory, boys, time to put down the old maps.

Or so my Ouija board tells me.
