Ahh, Eric I think you hit the nail on the head. Indeed Cyrix was taking up the 3dNow bandwagon and I bet since the info I got was from 1997 (and the 3d instructions seem so similar) that what you say is true. Those 15 new instructions are now probably the 21 3dnow instructions.
