Dear Sam,

For having "no evidence", there certainly have been a lot of people through the ages that have been willing to lay their life down.

Sam, there is a reason you have trouble believing. You are stuck in the finite. When you have given your life to Christ, something happens within you. You "know" that He lives. Hard to explain.

There have been other isolated cases (Jones town, etc.) of people willing to lay down their lives for a "messiah", but Christianity has persisted without a visible leader for thousands of years. Only the Spirit of God convicts men to surrender. Without this, there would be no Christianity or moral rule. When the Rapture of the Church occurs, His Spirit will be gone from the face of this earth for 7 years. Then you will see how "real" that Spirit was. Man will be left to his own "morality".

Just remember, Sam -- if you someday see millions of people disappear, don't buy the line you will be fed from the leaders at that time -- no matter how believable it is. Remember the Truth. Get out your Bible and follow John 3:16, and refuse the Mark. It will be the hardest thing anyone has ever done, but it will be the only way to an eternity in Heaven at this point. Don't forget these words. Scorn them now, if you will. Just don't forget.

I remain,

SOROS
