Well argued, Rob. Today's hindsight is "20-20". If you can find specific examples of what you state existing at about (prior to) the date of the patent, you are right. There is one 1979 story, that has never been confirmed that was posted here around June. If you read the patent, it describes in 40 different ways the methods of doing this. Each are slightly different, more specific, etc. For GIFT to be a "home run" only a few significant claims need to "hold up". If you find any and compare its method to the patents. Lets us know.
