Well, he knows what to do in court...lie lie lie. He could say that the principal has it in for him, and planted the sandwich on him---a clear case of entrapment...since the seventeen year old knows that the case will be dismissed, he should have no compunction about freely lying--it can't be held against him later, when he explains that it was a case of his enemies trying to entrap him.
