Africa Before Christmas South Africa's Medicines Control Council said it plans before Christmas to register and allow the legal sale of Viagra, an anti-impotence pill produced by the fourth-largest U.S. drug maker Pfizer Inc., after receiving reports that the blue diamond- shaped pills are being sold in South Africa's black market, according to Helen Rees, the chairperson of the nation's drug agency. Northern Province Police this week arrested a Polish citizen in Pietersburg for the possession of 100 Viagra tablets, which he allegedly tried to sell for 15,000 rand ($2,600). (The Star)
