I read in the paper about a company signing up a town (escondido ca.) to allow the use of some street light poles for receivers of wireless communication for the internet. They went on to discribe a pager size box attaches to the computer to allow for this wireless communication. The monthly cost for suscriber is $30. The city gets a small lump sum per light pole and 5% of the revenue. Any idea what this system is? Fast, slow?
