Thanks for sharing this with us. Does anybody here get the vague feeling that IONAY may be missing the boat on this general trend in the middleware industry towards higher margin application type products e.g. the new buzzword of the month being application servers. I don't mean just application servers but in general selling a more problem oriented application (higher margin) rather than the business of selling the software foundation e.g. CORBA (lower margin). I am of the opinion that in the short term this foundation focus will not matter so much, as IONA provides the additional CORBA services that are not easily obtainable in any single freeware implementation of CORBA. In addition, IONA provides enhanced services such as OTM that is not available at all in freeware implementations that I know of. However, for the long term health of the company it seems IONA will have to get into providing more value added application type software. Does anybody have an understanding of the longer term strategy of the company? later, Robert
