The vultures of the legal profession were trying to get
their claws into the operator of the refinery, Esso Astralia,
just before the explosion. Kellog's attorneys started to sue
Exxon over the use of it's jungle tiger logo, claiming it was
similar to "Tony the Tiger" on cereal boxes. Esso Australia
is a branch of Exxon. I was a small owner of Exxon years ago,
when it first hit oil on Alaska's North Slope, so sometimes try to
keep up on news. There is a strong sadist element in the legal
profession that would actually prompt me to suspect them in
explosions, arsons, collections, etc. Some even call themselves
the Mafia. Columbia South America has had 62 pipeline
explosions in 1998, but in obviously different circumstances.
