Jade - you certainly made an ass out of me - but do me a favor...

Stick around for the next year or so.

I've been reading a few of the posts on this thread with great interest. Much of the speculation regarding Zitel has gone beyond the silly into the realm of science fiction.

I started shorting Zitel in late October. I have said from the beginning and continue to say that earnings will eventually speak for themselves. There is no way on Earth I can pick a top for this stock, neither can anyone else on this thread (or Warren Buffet for that matter). The best I can do is try to determine when a stock has been battered to a point where it has become a great value or when a stock has become dangerously overpriced relative to its current financial condition and (realistic) growth potential. In my opinion, Zitel is worth about 4 to 5 a share - i.e. it's a piece of crap. The market disagrees strongly with me - for now, but it doesn't change my opinion that's it's still a piece of crap.

You sarcastically refer to me as a "brilliant investor" because the price of the stock has been moving against me in the space of a whole 2 months. Let's see, when I was 18 years old I began buying stocks with an initial investment of $750. I now manage an account worth approximately $8 million. I would be happy to compare portfolios if you're in the bay area any time soon. Somehow, I get the feeling that I'll be picking up the check for lunch - out of sympathy.

I have yet to see one intelligent post explaining just how Zitel's $3 million investment in Matridigm changes the formerly lousy business model into a veritable cash waterfall in the space of 2 years. Want to impress me? Then show me how this is possible - and I don't mean rehashing the speculative nonsense from Stewart et. al.

Short term price swings don't impress/panic me. That's why most so-called "investors" beat their heads against a wall trying to figure out why they haven't made any money in the stock market. They buy a good stock, then dump it 3 months later when the price declines 50% even though the long-term prospects for the underlying business are still good.

I don't intend to cover my short in Zitel until the market price reflects its true value. It may happen tomorrow - it may happen in 3 years. If I'm wrong (and I doubt that I am) about Zitel's earnings prospects - I'm still certain I'll be able to unwind my position with little or no damage, now that the price has been bid up beyond any hope of the company meeting these expectations.

By the way - if I were you I would refrain from the ad hominem attacks. You sound petulant, childish, and you can't write worth a damn.

Warmest regards,
mondoman
