ED, A chip cycle is a Harley ridden by Erik Estrada. -g- Assuming you are serious, the chip cycle is simply the business cycle for those who produce semiconductors. They make profits in the upcycle and produce losses in the downcycle. This downcycle will be both deeper and longer lasting than previous ones due to Y2K, the falloff in the pc demand growth rate in units, the peaking of the telecom cycle, and the impoverishment of the global consumer all running more or less concurrently.
