Albert: I have some more:
Concerning the devious actions by certain parties: The people who attempted the friendly buyout (of whom he turned down) were quite unhappy and made certain veiled (or not so veiled) threats concerning the future price of the stock. I personally don't see much movement downward, other than due to general market conditions. That's just my opinion, however. I don't know if Ben thought that they were going to short the stock, or just dump stock that they already owned.
I recently received the Corporate Overview, dated July, 98, the FamilyPC article on Thinkology from their October issue, an article from Interactive Teacher, April/May issue, along with some older news items and a note from Patsy at IR. On the bottom of the note was a charactiture (sp?) of Ben which I found amusing. It closely resembles Bill Gates. What I liked best of all about the note, however, was the scripture quote from Matthew (Matt. 11:28). I have to assume he is a 'brother in the Lord'. That doesn't hurt his credibility with me one bit! Here we are selling Heartsoft to Durban, South Africa. Nelson Mandela, visiting the capital this week, came up to the Congressional Chaplain, Dr. Ogilvie, and thanked him for missionary work in Africa. "If it hadn't been for Christian missionaries sent to my country, I would not be here today", he said. Lee |
