cruncher, a geologist friend of mine said that Kinross is the best managed mid-tier gold producer in Canada. At under C$3, it was definitely a buy, but since it had ran up quite a bit from its low, I expect it to follow the POG. It doesn't seem to be that well-followed by Wall Street brokerages either.

For trading, it's probably easier to make money with Barrick or Newmont.
