I'm afraid you would be disappointed here. When there was some talk of Powell running for office a few years ago, it came out that he was in favor of affirmative action, in favor of gun control, and more pro-choice than die-hard Republicans might like. In other words, on the litmus-test issues, Powell is a Democrat.
