SG Cowen's Scott Reamer initiated coverage on seven Internet stocks, a spokesman for the brokerage said. The analyst rated AMAZON COM INC, AMERICA ONLINE INC and YAHOO CORP as "strong buys." Reamer gave a "buy" rating to DOUBLECLICK INC, EXCITE INC and STERLING COMMERCE INC, the spokesman said. NETSCAPE COMMUNICATIONS CORP was rated as "neutral," he said. (Reuters 02:46 PM ET 09/30/98)
