I disagree with your assumption... I suspect every one of us has worked with people who make you wonder what they tell their spouse when they go home at night. Maybe Mr. Novell Wife is one of those guys who has to make excuses for his performance, and uses the company as a punching bag to keep her off his back, or admit his own failings. I do not wish to hurt her feelings, but this is really uncorroborated testimony, and should be treated as such. Most sales people are given printed numbers at month/quarter end. I strongly suspect that Novell Wife is an intelligent human being and has the capability to read. Someone so outraged as she is, and speaks with the knowledge that she does, has seen real figures. I doubt she is depending on just word of mouth from her husband. People are resigning from Novell in droves and moral HAS been a problem, so I strongly suspect this is not an isolated case. I also resent your implications that she is some mindless bimbo. :) I suspect there are many wives who are displeased with the no bonus policy. So kick Mr. in the butt and we all may get a bonus next quarter. If promised a bonus on performance and the performance is there then Novell has no right to change the game plan mid stream. This is not how WE AS SHAREHOLDERS want our sales people treated. They are the life of the organization. If they go we are in even deeper trouble, and if they are unhappy as a group we are in even BIGGER trouble. Jean (who would be really ticked if someone took my car away) :))
