DenverTechie, I hate to beat the same drum,but HLIT has installed opaque add/drop MetroDWDM in at least 5 cities. The latest being Dallas,and its suburbs,it is the only commercial MetroDWDM installed. I cannot imagine a better system than they are installing,invisible hubs,broadcast from the headend,retransmitted from the hub to the nodes. One feed is supplying 60 nodes in Dallas,wow! Check it out, this is the most advanced cable infrastructure system in the world.There are a ton of articles in CED magazine about it. Hiram
