I don't know whether you buy or sell stocks solely based on the charts or not. There is another important factor you haven't considered, i.e., the cash reserves of all the major U.S. banks, which are tremendous. CMB has a cash reserve more than 15 billion. This is a key factor when you try to understand the fundamentals of a bank. This was certainly not the case between 1986-1990 during the saving and loan crisis. I think CMB is well-managed and will weather this financial storm well.
I haven't bought any CMB, but will soon.
