I recently had a good experience trading a stock that has a 4 month verify period intact. The verify period was very accurate and it was signalling a buy coming off a buy/hold. Bought it 2 days ago at 11, yesterday it closed at 11.50. This morning's signal is still a buy. I'm not sure if I'm gonna hold or take my 5% and run... lot's of bad news!

Andrew suggests the the accuracy of the prediction is increased by having multiple nets confirm each other, so I have to defer to his advice.

Tip... I noticed that most of my nets train well enough in a few hours to get the sharp diagonals in the scattergraph by inputting the target at 30 days influence for the s/t filter, the price and l/t filter at 3 days, and the volume at 1 day. I try and use only 2 indices... the sector and the industry, each with only the l/t filter at 3 days. The verify is set for 3-4 months.

The nets train quickly and you know right away whether it's accurate. So far I've gotten very accurate signals. I used the very aggressive strategy. (Even NEWZ is beginning to look hopeful!)

By the way, I noticed that when you have an accurate verify period, it trains the same way it predicted when you shorten the verify period. My guess is that you would probably get the same prediction on that net if you were to train all the data. I like the verifyu period intact... gives me more confidence and doesn't appear to affect the nets I've trained .
