God blesss you David. Sorry I've been slow to respond. With Jesus as my Lord I'm conviced things can only get better -- even if they get worse -- if you get my meaning.

I've got a lot of year end chores I've been trying to get to. While many are reviewing the performance of investments here on SI I think it's only apropos for us as God's children to consider all the blessings, lessons, and activities that God gave us throughout last year. Some time for reflection can be really faith-building.

January 2, my son will be 2 years old. We are going to celebrate it on January 1. With this day off from work I'm planning on spending some time reflecting on this last year and seeking God's guidance for the new.

David, I've been somewhat anxious about a career direction or a lack thereof. And while I know that this isn't the most imperative matter in God's sight (e.g. understanding what he wants me to do today and acting on it by faith) -- I'm feeling the need to make a conscious choice, either to stay where I'm at for a while, look for a more challenging technical job that more fully uses my abilities, or return to school to develop some talents more fully. Please pray for me in this.

Also, what has been the most challenging lesson God has taught you this year?

Jesus IS loving us
Barry
